Making, Making!

a wonderful lady, who I actually met via my slimy ex husband....she doesn't know what happened to make him evil either and the fact that she knows him, doesn't shade her character at all.  She is amazing!  She is in Ethiopia meeting her babies for the first time!! Twins, a boy and a girl.  I can't even imagine what she is experiencing right now!

She put the word out that the orphanage in Ethiopia, where her babies are currently residing, is in need of baby things.  I am a maker and I had a huge stash of yarn and fabric, so I got busy.  Well, the fabric is still piled in a laundry basket, still waiting for my machine to be fixed!!!

teeny preemie hat
Here are some photos of some of the stuff I've made so far.  My friend is going back to Ethiopia to retrieve her children in several weeks...this is a court appearance trip, so she'll deliver these things and whatever else I get finished, then.

So, a sneak peak:

preemie booties *these are so small my pointer barely fits!

these are different angles of the same blanket.  Soo soft. 100% bamboo crocheted in a textured pattern.  I love this blanket.  It takes a bit of time, with the post stitches but very worth the effort.

little button up bunting bag

slate grey, with white, wool blanket.  It is very light soft wool, not scratchy at all!
Hmm that seems to be all I have taken photos of so far. Fun and exciting.

  2. You want to make a crafter happy you give her material. My mom's love language is fat quarters. The boys choose that yarn to make the bunting bag. They LOVED it so much.
