Oh look, the day just flew by....too bad you missed it!

Oh my god, now that school is back in swing, I am super thankful that I kinda took the summer off. WHEW! I drive Faron to work for 6:30am, home again to shower, make lunches, wake the girls, breakfast, hair and teeth, face and hands, back packs and out the door to their two separate schools. With only 10 mins between their bell times, it's a bit tricky to get from Pines to Downtown in rush hour traffic!

Awww geez, don't start reading yet, my computer farted and posted only the above!





Leisha is doing very well, she has the same locker as Jaala did last year, is also in the same classroom with the same teachers. She was so excited for school to start (NERD!) heehehehe!





Jaala and her best friend are NOT in the same class, but they race for eachother at recess and after school.


His mom and I are begining to car pool on monday. Since we both have one in each of the same schools, I'll take two one way and she'll take the other two the other way and switch each week.


With the prospect of having to be off to work (no job yet), it takes a huge load off to share the driving!





We got a new turtle, cute and funny! He loves worms, he defies turtle speed to get worms, so eager is he to eat worms that when the end of Spice (the snake)'s tail was twitching within eye sight of the turtle, he went for it!


The scene that ensued was unbearably funny! Riggy (turtle) chomped his beak down on the end of Spice's tail, in shock, pain and horror, Spice flipped her tail up, managing to spin Riggy all the way around and ripped her tail out of Riggy's mouth, then bee lined it for the nearest exit.....which happened to be Danielle's hand. She had the presence of mind and goodness of heart to grab poor Spice before a second wave of attacks came round......mean while I'm laughing so hard I can't breathe.





The girls have managed to make a number of new friends, who live here on our block. They're having so much fun. Yesterday, one of their friends was here for after school care, until her mom got off work. She was telling the girls, while they had a snack, how she was grounded from everything, and the only thing in her room was a dresser and a bed. Jaala asked her what she did to deserve it. Samantha replied that she didn't obey her mom the first time, and when her mom repeated herself, Sam said "NO!"

I had to eavesdrop on Lei's response and it was hilarious.
"Oh well, we already know it's so dangerous to tell our mom "no""
