It is soft and warm and made out of scrap yarn from my stash.
My intention when I began was to practice the colour work I had just learned and still be left with something useful*, a scarf is what was left! Perfect, because when my neck gets cold, I often get a headache, that's a new thing since our car wreck of 2009, and the area around my throat scar is sensitive, cold air bothers it. I still have no feeling under my chin(s)(!!!) down my throat to the top of the scar. I am super luck though, my surgeon was able to follow the original incision line while operating the second time so I only have one scar. Brilliant she is. Thankful for her, I am!!! (I think I'm talking like yoda because I just read my Char's post!) he he he!
*I do feel as though my practice time is a waste of both time and material so when making gauge swatches or working up a muslin for pattern and design fitting, I like to end up with something that can be used. I'm a little psycho about that.
Believe it or not, the picture using the flash indoors does the best job of representing the colour of my scarf.
I like looking at it all rolled up, it makes me think of pumpkin rolls.
