The tape is off, the incision is visible.
I know a really lovely lady who had her chest cavity cracked open for tumor removal, last year....she has boldly declared her scar's visibility as part of who she is and what she is and has damned the idea of covering it up.
I have waffled on this for some time.
I'm still waffling. Do I cover it or not. It isn't an easy place to cover something. At this point, it is very tender and even cold air hitting it hurts. Anything other than the very softest of cloth is bothersome and the shifting of the cloth against the wound hurts too, covering it isn't an option right now....how about after I return to work on Monday?
Char said it looks like an extra smile. Yes, yes it does!
There it is in all it's glory, turkey neck and double chins and all!
The bruising will fade, it has faded a lot already in two weeks. The redness and scabbing will fade also.
All in all the healing is going well.
You won't even see it once it heals! I actually think it really isn't a big deal at all. Do whatever feels best and least uncomfortable for your skin. Since when did what others think impact what you decide is best for you? haha with love

I agree. Do what works best for you. My scar and (and two cute boys) I were out in the pool today and I decided it's a lot prettier than some of the tats I saw. It's part of my life's story. Plus even now it hurts to have stuff rub it. I have ot be rather picky with necklaces and such.
