In my head, I'm writing alternate lyrics to the tune of Kings of Leon's song "Use Somebody", my title is "Infect somebody".
:"Germs are roamin around looking toward making a new sickee,
Sneezes, coughs, boogers, aches are all I see.
You know they could infect somebody,
You know they could infect somebody
Someone besides meeeee":
That's all so far, but you can imagine the neurotic need to avoid more sickness!
Only one week of school and work, before Christmas vacation begins, my goal is that no one misses school or work for that week!
Given our track record so far, in these past 11 days of December, it isn't looking hopeful!
I missed Wednesday afternoon and all day Thursday last week, with cough, boogers, sore throat, and the sleepies.
I missed Thursday this week, barfing with a headache.
Here is a TMI aside for you....I woke with a headache, and it was vicious, but I wasn't barfing before I left for work. On the way TO work, I began to barf. You know how you want to not have to clean barf off the upholstery in your vehicle, and you have an insane thought that it's a good idea to avoid your pants also....? So what do you do when you're driving up Gaetz Ave, in 3 lanes of one way traffic and you begin to barf, WHILST all those neurotic thoughts flash through your heead.....you hold as much barf in your mouth as you can, trying to squelch any additional heaves, and desperately try to pull over! Both Jaala and Leisha are hacking up boogers, blowing out boogers and generally BEING boogers. They both missed 3 or 4 days of the last two school weeks and even now are battling the night cough *I'm so tired!!!!!*
Needless to say, I'm ready for some fresh health here!
In other news, I hate, hate, hate attaching binding to projects. I've been trying to pull it off on a scented hot mat for a co worker, I've ripped it off 4 times now and it is still UGLY! Grrrr! I do not deal well facing an inability to master a skill I am determined to master. It makes me grouchy.
How are holiday plans working out for you all? Delurk and tell me.
Hey! We are healthy. Holidays are looking quite nice this year. Home Christmas Day til supper time when we will go to Greg's bro's house (here in DV) for a few hours. My parent's house Boxing Day. Lots of jammie time, skidoo time, fireplace time will be available. Ashley is shaking her gifts already, making me crazy guessing a million guesses as to what they are... oh the fun of the holidays! I need to buy food though and cringe at planning it; food isn't my favorite thing, but I don't imagine we will starve :) Looking forward to time off from the rat race of life for a few days....
