We had this incredible hail and thunder storm on thursday night, unbelievable sized hail, amounts of water, flooding and wind!

After all that, Lei was worried we'd have to cancel her birthday party...her first EVER friend party....we assured her that if it was still yucky the next day, we'd just have her friends to our house. WHEW! The storm abated and the weather was beautiful.
We had the party in the park (of course, are you new here? park parties are us!!!)
We let the kids run and play for a while, then played "toilet tag"...(again, if you're new here, don't be surprized that I planned such a game for a child's birthday!)
We had a three legged scavenger hunt! Too much fun, Papa and Mike partnered up for the most hilarious pair of hunters hobbling and wobbling and bonking into eachother trying to gather up their items.
Then we had a bbq, water fountain fun, cake and gifts. A wonderful time was had by all!!!
very few ever survive a swarming by 7 and 8 year olds!
It was a perfect weather day for the party, and the fountain was a great place to cool off after raucous play!
Faron said "TER", it scared the crap out of me, when I looked up all startled, he snapped this picture. I married a brat! hehehehe
Jaala made Leisha this beautiful picture of Cheetah's.
Last year, we got Leisha much coveted starter roller blades (three wheeled), she was in her own glory with them however, this year, she felt she needed "real" roller blades. Grammy shopped and shopped and shopped till she found a pair that could fit the little booger's feet! This is a very happy girl! And, Grammy, being Grammy, did not resist buying a pair for the J meister too...another very happy girl!
Little wobbly at first!
Little wobbly at first! We're hoping to get her into Violin lessons in the fall. OY!
In other news, we are looking seriously at a major life style change. Waiting for details that need to be in place before we jump in, and hopeful that the plan will go forward soon. Faron and I are looking very forward to the results the plan will bring, it's a major dream that will be fulfilled. It also means a lot of hard work ahead and more financial sacrifices, for longer....I'm up for it and crossing my fingers for the details we need, to fall into place. I'll keep you updated as we go.

That crazy violin made me cry. What a fantastic gift.
