Yesterday was Faron's mom's (Granny Annie) first three hour bout of chemotherapy. Though most of us expect that our parents will die before us, this is hard, stressful. Anne has been so sick these last 2 years and we are worried that she won't rebound from this.
So far our house has been in the throes of influenza for nearly 6 weeks. Most of us are just left with the miserable, hacking cough and stuffy nose that keeps us up all night. Faron however, has to one up us all (teehee) and get massive inflamation through his bronchi and after 3 rounds of antibiotics, a change of inhalers and an anti cough concoction, the Dr. prescribed a huge dose of prednisone, his statement "we HAVE to get that inflamation down"
Faron has been ordered off work for a week, to rest and get better....however, his boss doesn't seem to distinguish between sick days and deliberate unreliability, and looks down on the days off. It's a really busy time of year at his office as well, so that doesn't elicit a good attitude from his boss either.
Added to that, Faron has no benefits, so he is merely losing pay on these days he's sick. The amounts being subtracted from our income this month are alarming, however, one day at a time, one bill at a time, and we've all had to pinch pennies to squeak by.
My boy has a lot on his plate.
Parent teacher interviews, for Lei, went quite well, I was able to explain some issues and get some feedback, from Leisha's teacher. Emotional stress seems to crowd out learning and progress in some area's for Lei. so some basic modifications will be applied to help her through.
Work for me has been crazy busy, it's report card and parent teacher interview time there too, and most days, our feet barely touch the ground trying to get so much extra work accomplished.
However, I love the work and the busy ness tires me but doesn't wear me out.
Dawn, Char, I'm sorry to have to post these pictures, I know it's really NOT fair at all, but, just don't look at anything in them...except the cute little girls.......that way no feelings will be hurt ;p

The girls are such a joy to me. Such a headache and such fun.
Last night, I checked on them before I went to bed, Leisha was using Jaala's bum for a pillow! (believe me when I say, without elaborating, that is a dangerous place to put scent sensitive organs!)
Hey girl, I gotta say that after reading the first three quarters of that post, I would never begrudge you some green grass!! I love you guys so much, here's hugs and praying for healing all the way around!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I found the cutest picture tonite of a little naked Ave and Jaala!! Remember that?? Too cute!!
Sounds like Faron is up to his umm-hmm in alligators. Trust that things get better soonest. That pic of your girlies is too cute.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about all the sickness that is touching your family and people you love. I'll keep you all in my prayers. We've been dealing with flu too... tis the season I guess.
ReplyDeleteLove you!!
