The previous week was a stressful one! Our -50 temps broke the Jeep, and we were stuck at home till thursday, no school, no work for me, no groceries!!!! Finally, on thursday we had the Jeep running again, Thanks to the advice of Papa, and the help of Faron's brother in law Vic, and our neighbor Glen.
The battery was dead, and Vic's car wasn't kicking out enough juice to boost it. The gasline froze, and the antifreeze gelled. Once the gas line de icer was in, the battery was boosted, we covered the rad and thawed the antifreeze, bled some off and voila!
Being so cold, monday was a day off school anyway, my class only had 4 students to begin with, 6 by afternoon.
Friday at work was nuts, after a week of indoor recesses due to the cold, my students were down right squirrely!
Daniele, Faron's daughter, moved in with us on monday after noon. We spent last weekend shuffling and sorting to empty the office for her room. She seems to be setting in well, the girls LOVE having her, she is job hunting to save for a floristry course tuition.
We're enjoying her here, it's very different for us old lazy hippies, and I'm sure she'll bored of our laziness eventually! She's a big help, a little piece of cheerfullness and a load of joy for Faron to finally experiance her in his life, full time.
So, it's laundry and housework day, getting organized for tomorrow, work, classes etc.
I had to forcefully haul Jaala out the door to her dad's car on friday, her best friend since play school was having his birthday party and Jaala didn't want to miss it, she begged her dad to let her stay home for the party. Alas, the answer was no and she refused to go with him. So sad.
I miss you!! Life seems so insane here right now, but I'll be emailing shortly. Hugs and more hugs!!
