Leisha still calls me "mama". I love it.
I didn't get an A in this course. I finished with 85%. 5% off an A. *sigh* so frustrating and disapointing. My GPA is just 3.5, I wanted 3.9
I'm so nervous about practicum. I keep saying that. The anxiety keeps building. Faron said it's natural that I would be, it's been a long time since I've been in the "working world". It's more than that though.
Since I fell to pieces in 04, I've been putting myself back together, slowly, because the drama that constantly comes up, slows me down. I'm not the same as I used to be. Not Character wise, I'm still very much a character (teeheee!), but as far as stress and activity level, I don't handle high ones any more. And the whole idea of juggling working and being a GOOD mom, to very high need girls, how do I do it?
Maybe I just want to stay home with them and be a housewife and a mom. But I really love to teach. I've worked SO FREAKING HARD to get this close and I don't want to quit, but I am overwhelmed and daunted.
Jaala was a complete mess this morning. Her panties were uncomfortable, she wanted to wear a dress with no tights (mommy said not a chance poopy pants!), oh that made her mad! She didn't want to wear anything but her dress, she couldn't find a shirt to wear, she didn't know where her green pants were, her socks were annoying and she wanted different ones, and she WAS NOT going to school today, she was staying home to watch Kid CBC instead.
I got her to school just as the bell rang.
Many many mornings are like that with one of the girls. Leishabeth is usually more task oriented, she knows what has to be done, and she gets it done. However if she's needy, she'll not want to say good bye and go to class.
Jaala hates waking up and getting moving. I love her to death, but ohhhh it's frustrating trying to get her up, and keep being cheerful while she's growling at me!
Well, I'm waiting for news of two babies that are being borned today! So exciting.
And here is a little tidbit to encourage you all
1. There are at least two people in this world that you would die for.
2. At least 15 people in this world love you in some way.
3. The only reason anyone would ever hate you is because they want to be just like you.
4. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don't like you.
5. Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep.
6. You mean the world to someone.
7. You are special and unique.
8. Someone that you don't even know loves you.
9. When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it.
10. When you think the world has turned its back on you take another look.
11. Always remember the compliments you received. Forget about the rude remarks.
12. Good friends are like stars.......You don't always see them, but you know they are always there.
always remember....when life hands you Lemons, ask for tequila and salt, and call me over!
Hey Terri,
ReplyDeleteMan has it ever been years since we worked at camp together. I just wanted to say keeping going with the school stuff. Not getting the grades that you want can be discouraging and yet, it will give you something to aim for in the future. Take lots of deep breaths during the practicum. I hope that things are going well for you, and that you guys have a great Christmas season together.
Love the wise words!!
ReplyDeleteHang in there about the practicum. Try not to pre-worry! You excel at life, and will be a wonderful asset to any workplace. You will be loved, respected, and appreciated at work just as you are in other areas of your life! Love you, And guess what!! Sethie has his first tooth!!! Yahoo!!
Hey Teri,
ReplyDeleteYeah I for the most part no longer have Red hair. Good thing for me red heads go blonde and then white so I get to skip the grey stage! Yep I am married coming up on a year now, and as for being called Red, you can still call me Red if you like. Once I left camp I started going Leanne again.
I hope you have had a great day and that the rest of the week will go well. Have a gooder!
Leanne (Red)
