Thanks guys for the comments regarding Darfur, I'm so glad that you're up on it. And Jon-o, I hear you, I was used to the John Lennon version, when I first heard it, I didn't actually recognize it in the begining! It's grown on me, though.
I'm so thankful for a cooler day today! We're going to bake cookies after school, and I have a roast in the crock pot, windows wide open catching the fresh air and finally I'm not glistening with sweat due to the *exertion* of typing!
Faron came over to look after the girls while I attended my teleconference class, we were all snuggling and wrestling and visiting on my bed first, and Jaala called Faron *daddy*. He didn't miss a beat and responded *yes sweetie*. I gotta tell you, my heart was melting and soaring at the same time.
While Kyle is their dad, and they love him and they need him to continue in their lives, to address various aspects of their development, Faron is a father figure, a mature, wise, loving and attentive man who shows them love, compassion, boundaries and dicipline. They have attatched their hearts to his and feel loved and secure in their relationship with him.
I am so blessed with this man. He is the mirror of my soul and I adore him. When I watch him love on my girls, I am struck by how blessed they are too; there are so many things that I have grieved that their father doesn't provide them with, and I've often felt panic knowing the potential for disastrous choices in their futures, because of that lack in them. Having a man like Faron to stand in that gap for them, and be the one they know they can snuggle up on and cry when their friend dog dies, or whose belly they can bounce their heads off, just for fun. The more the three of their relationships develop, the more I love Faron because I see in him the heart that I experiance as his partner, and I know that my girls will be protected and loved no matter what.
We're talking *combined finances budget* this weekend, so stay tuned for new "developments"!!!
There really isn't anything else that makes me love my man more than watching him with my boys!!!
ReplyDeleteNothing is more beautiful!!
