The girls were sharing with me that their dad makes them pray out loud. I asked a few questions to determine what they were talking about. Apparently, he requires them to pray out loud and they get into "REAL trouble" if they don't obey. Jaala said once she refused to pray outloud, because she felt shy and everyone was looking at her. She struggles with that in many situations, it's part of who she is. How can he not know that, and if he does know it, how can he be so callous about her?
First of all, I don't believe that they should be made to pray at all, second, I certainly don't think they should be forced to pray on someone else's terms.

There is something fundementally wrong with a person who will force his religious practices on his children, especially practices that aren't even relevant to the religious beliefs....where in the bible does it say that people must pray out loud? How does forcing the issue teach the girls anything except resentment for their inconsiderate, clueless, dumb father?
I don't care one way or another what religion or none that the girls choose, but they have to stay with their father and while they are under his care, they are exposed to his bullshit and I can't do anything to run interference for them.
Kyle shouldn't be doing that. But I guess that probably gets said a lot, eh?

Did I read right in the other post that you are engaged? I must have missed that somewhere along the line. CONGRATULATIONS!!! finding someone who treats you as you should be treated can be a rare thing in a world with people so consumed by themselves.
