Here we go

The fundemental religionists in the US have a new fear mongering tool. Video's of the "FACTS" about Barack Obama. In truth, most of the things said in the videos, are indeed facts.....however, the point in so strongly illustrating those facts, is completely lost on me. So what? How does that affect his reasonablity, his fitness to make choices for a country in HUGE trouble?
FACT: Barack Hussein Obama has not ONE but THREE Muslim names....

Yep. He does, they are ethnic names, his father, from Kenya, had influence on the naming of his son......soooooo what? What is that saying? That he is unfit to be president because he has ethnic derived names? Are you a xenophobic nation without the ability to see a person for WHO he is rather than what he is named?

FACT: Barack Hussein Obama attended a Muslim school in Jakarta.

Yep. BECAUSE THERE ARE ONLY MUSLIM SCHOOL'S IN JAKARTA!!!!!!!! He was EIGHT! Not like he really had a choice in the matter! I went to a christian school when I was in grade 11......SO, that has no influence on what I do or believe now, I was a child....MUCH older than Mr. Obama was, and yet, somehow, I am not touted as someone to be feared by my fellow atheists and agnostics based on my former schooling. Fear mongering, thinly veiled threats of disaster upon electing a person of Muslim heritage.....he doesn't practise Islam.

FACT: Barack Hussein Obama is the most liberal senator in the US senate.

WELL HALLELUIA! Liberal is good. Check out what the last 8 years of Rebumblingic government has done to the US economy, now with tax payers money bailing out multi billion dollar businesses for being idiots in business modleing and planning. Nice.

Foreign policy is in the toilet. Preemptive wars....illegal war, cross border raids into pakistan, lies about connections between Iraq and Al quaeda, prior to the US invasion, there was no Al quaeda in Iraq...the 9/11/01 bombers were from Saudi Arabia....but OH Bush is GREAT friends with them!!! Their human rights record includes beating a woman who was gang raped....for being with men illegally. That's the kind of government I DO NOT want to be affiliated with, and if American's were smart, they'd dissolve the friendships and business ties.....oh shit, they can't Saudi Arabia is too valuable....just as Afghanistan ONCE was......

McCain is Bush Junior. He voted with Bush on 95% of policy renditions. Voting for McCain is suicide for the US.
I wish people would realize that just because McCain would repeal ROEvWADE, and allow religious funny business to be taught in schools, instead of science, doesn't mean he'll be a good leader for my neighboring country.
He is a proven liar. He just flip flopped on his "idea" of what the economy is doing and what it needs.
Frankly, I long for a world where NO ONE get's their religious views represented in government policy, where NO ONE crosses the church/state boundary and where NO special interest groups have power to siphon federal funds to their projects based on religious preferences.
Freedom of religion, or freedom FROM religion are guarentees in the constitution. They are upheld as long as christians get to have their say and their way. Disallow christians to represent their interests in government and there are loud cries of discrimination.
The founding father's of the USA fled religious imposition from the government of Britain, and denied the government's right to force a religion and it's practises on citizens....the reason they insisted on the religious freedom clause, was to ensure that no citizen of this new found country, would be forced to adhere to any policy based on religion.
Somehow, the government has strayed far far far from that vision.

All I can say is if ya'all are in favor of having the government listening in on your phone calls without you knowing ( http://www.salon.com/opinion/greenwald/2008/09/18/privacy/index.html ), putting CHILDREN on the terror watch list, imprisoning CHILDREN indefinately in a tortuous prison overseas and denying them human dignity and basic human rights, giving religion more clout than actual demonstrated/able, empirical scientific evidance, RESTRAINING a woman's reproductive freedom, squealching a person's right to marry the person who touches the deepest part of their soul whom they love and want to spend the rest of their lives with, denying the right to choose what occurs with one's own body as in refusing to give dying and coherent patients the right to choose to die with dignity, instead subjecting them to agony and less humane treatment than we give to sick animals.....then I recomend voting for McCain/Palin.

If you're a xenophobe who can't see past a person's name to view their record, their behavior, their goals etc, vote for McCain.
If you are afraid that someone of Muslim heritage is suddenly going to switch to Islam, just because of where they went to school as a child, and what their names are, then vote for McCain.
If you care about rights and freedom and a new economic plan, new tax plan that will shorten the gap between the richest and the poorest drastically and take tax loop holes away from corporations who need them the LEAST, if you care about good quality education (excluding religious fudementalism), where teachers are well trained, well supported, with all the resources they need to leave NO CHILD BEHIND, instead of penalties and threats to teacher's jobs for doing the best they can with the shitty resources they get from the government, if you believe that everyone is entitled to adaquete health care, regardless of their financial status, and if you believe that lying to get into office and that the last 8 years of republical rule have been a disaster..........

DO NOT VOTE MCCAIN!
