Hehehehe! I must be tired, cause coming up with the title made me giggle my little feet off!
The 23rd was our Danielle's 19th birthday! Happy Birthday darling! For the occasion, she dyed her hair (without gloves and thus also her hands), green!

too funny! We also headed out for the Calgary Zoo for the day.
The children had a fabulous time.....but zoo's make me sad. I've seen many, or most, of the animals in their natural habitat......the vast, wide, open, free space they come from, makes the mineute and limited cages they live in seem so lacking. The way these wild animals pace back and forth for hours is unnatural, not a behavior EVER seen in the wild. While I believe zoo's have a purpose in conservation, breeding programs and education, long term housing of wild animals must be remade into less of a profit margin business, and more into a best interest program for the animals.....1200 sq feet of cage for a male lion who is used to 1200 sq miles of territory is cruel.
Thank you for enduring my rant.
Faron and I are heading to my grandparents cottage, by a beautiful lake in Saskabush! The little girls are already there, they went a day early with Grammy and Auntie, just so they could have an extra play day. Faron and I weren't free to go until today.
From talking to them on the phone last night, it sounds like they are having a fabulous time!!!
I love talking to them when they're with my mom, they sound like they're supposed to sound! Not like when they're with their father, and sound lost and sad and disconnected.
So we'll be gone a few days. Have a beautiful weekend!
Travel safe Happy Geek and hugs as you attend the funeral.
