Canada Day Celebrations!

Faron and I took the girls down to the Canada Day celebrations at Bower ponds yesterday.

It's a tradition for the girls and I. I took Jaala, along with some visiting out of town friends of Kyle, when Jaala was about 3 months old. We had such a great time that I took her again the next summer, when I was hugely pregnant with Leishabeth. Jaala was in the back pack carrier and of course Lei, was in the front ! Tons of fun, and many silly comments about my balance from strangers!

We went last year with Faron and this year, was a really beautiful family time. The weather was perfect, not too hot and a slight breeze.

We headed out on the city bus park and ride, which the girls love. Lei kept commenting on how much bigger we were on the bus, than the passing cars.

Jaala, farted loudly and then giggled. *sigh*, after apologizing to the people next to us, I asked her to excuse herself....that was as long as I could hold in my own giggle, because man, those busses have accoustics for farts!!!!

We rented a paddle boat and went paddling around Bower Ponds, it was the girls first time in a paddle boat, and they loved it! Jaala paddled with me like a little trooper, and after a bit, Lei found a way to "help" paddle by scooting her bum to the edge of her seat and catching the peddles on the up stroke and slamming them down. teeeheee so cute!

Faron was our rudder man and kept us going the right direction. When we returned the boat to the dock, the dock hand commented on how great of a job Faron did as compared to the typical passenger who requires "rescuing" to the edge of the dock. Good job babe!

There was a belly dancing show, Lei loved it, she was so impressed with the beautiful outfits and the beautiful ladies with long long hair and the fun music and dancing. She asked if she could take some pictures of the ladies......she took 10!!!
