Today was the last day of school for the girls. I feel like I've been run ragged all year, so after a week of really doing nothing, I've been going berserk on house work and enjoying the fact that nothing else is screaming to be done!
Tomorrow the girls are going to my sister's. They're having a sleep over and man, they are about jumping out of their skins with excitement. Their favorite toy at Auntie's house is Michaela of course, and I have no doubt that Mickey will be worn OUT by the time they leave on friday!
Erin is looking after the girls for me because Faron and I have to be in Edmonton for the next part of the Home Assesment.
Kyle has opted to only have the girls for 12 days this summer, instead of the usual 30. He's getting married, and of course children are inconvinient for him in that instance. He's having them for the wedding weekend (Jul 14) and then he doesn't have them again till the second week of August......which, though I celebrate having them and being free to schedual whatever we want, I do know that they will really feel the lack of Daddy time this summer.
I am very hopeful that this assesment will be wrapped up before we all begin school again.
So, here's to sunny days at the beach, in the park, at Grammy's and riding bikes WHOOOHOOO!
Hope you have some awsome summer stories to share with us and have fun memory making!
ReplyDeletei am hoping with you that the assessment will go quickly. having something like that dragged on doesn't do anything positive for anyone.
