The appointment regarding the home assessment went relatively well. The rest of the process looks less scary now that I've interacted with the assesor and found him to be a reasonable, kindly, intelligent and perfunctory man.
Having Faron there with me, sharing the experiance, and offering his perspective, insight and support really helped a lot. We "debriefed" on the way home, found a way to laugh about it all and discussed the various points that struck us, worried us or were more posative than we'd imagined. I love you Far, you're amazing, I'm thankful for you and your strength. Your wisdom and practicality have bolstered me more than you know.
Going through the process of being judged "fit" or "not fit" is a point of bitterness for me. I've devoted my life to my girls because I LOVE them, up to the moon and back an infinite number of times, I there is nothing I would not do for them if it would ensure their health and wellbeing. To have my level devotion called into question is one thing, but for someone to claim that the love doesn't exist at all, has me openin up cans of whup ass all over the place!!!
At the very least, I hope the out come of this is to put Kyle's foot firmly in his mouth along with an ample supply of duct tape to keep it there. At the most, I hope this assessment officially labels Kyle as the bully, narcissistic, paranoid liar that he acts like to me, and permanently snuffs his vendetta against me.
We returned to Red Deer, friday night, and took the night to recover, then headed up to my mom's place, where my sister, my niece and my parents were looking after Jaala and Lei. (yes, trust me, it takes 4 big people to look after my two little people)
We had a great time! Sunday was rather marred by me moping around in pain, I've been having trouble with my right shoulder. I strained it moving the living room furniture around a couple weeks ago, and it's been less mobile and very painful, a constant, grating pain that no position relieves! As a result, I didn't get the visit with Danielle (Faron's daughter) that I wanted, so I'm hoping we get her again really soon so I can make up for it!
She brought over her brand new teeny baby hamster! What a cutie! I'm not a huge fan of rodents, but baby ANYTHING is cute! A little black and white spotted thing, and the girls were completely enthralled with it. They each took a turn holding him, unfortunately for Lei, she still had remenants of her hot chocolate and marshmallows on her hand, and mr. hamster wanted a taste of that yummy stuff. Lei was ok until she saw that she was bleeding, then she told me felt like crying, so I wrapped her in a hug and told her to "have at it". One of Grammy's Dora bandaids and a kiss from big cousin, and she was fully recovered! *it was barely a pin prick bite, the little rodent's teeth weren't big enough to do any real damage!*
My mom's massage therapist, Lana, is AMAZING! I want all of you to experiance her!!!! She massages my girls, and they love it. She massages me and just has this great way of touching all the sore spots and smoothing out the knots! She also makes her own natural body remedies, Mom used one on my shoulder this weekend, it's in an oil form, eucalyptus, menthol, capcacsian and other stuff, for sore muscles.....it's a miricle oil. Ok, that was retarded, if I keep making that claim, you're all gonna report me to SWIFT *inside joke*
It worked really well and after three days using it, my shoulder feels really good. Lei has had less trouble with foot and leg pain since she started seeing Lana as well, anything that gives her relief is worth pursuing.
The girls had a great time, visiting mom and dad's neighbor, who has two little border collie puppies, and a new painted pony gelding. What fun! Papa and michaela took them for quad rides and the two girls barely stayed inside long enough to eat! Jaala commented to Papa that she wished she could stay with them because then she could be outside when ever she wanted.
I'm so glad my parents have the acerage with all the toys, and most of all that they have the heart, the energy and the love to invest in my babies. They are two unique and special people and my girls are richly blessed to have them as grandparents!!!
Happy Tuesday
Hey Ter. I'm glad everything went as smooth as it could with the home assess. Although, I guess it depends on who you get and whatnot, but for anyone to come to the conclusion that you wouldn't chop off any single limb for Jaala or Lei would be unfathomable. Unfortunately, social issues like this can take their mental toll, and it's always unfair, but it's what happens when the government gets involved. If government were fair, Kyle's ass hairs would be lit on fire to provide fuel for homeless people...or something.
ReplyDeleteAHAHAHAHA! Love you benji
ReplyDeleteOK, that was funny.
ReplyDeleteAss hairs for the homeless...heh
