Just before my alarm went this morning, I slowly became aware of a voice whispering in my ear, I listened carefully before I opened my eyes. It was Jaala, leaning over me, saying "you're too tired to get up, you should stay in bed, you're too tired to take us to school, we will all stay home." I opened my eyes to a pair of dark browns twinkling at me!! AHAHAHA! I think she was trying subliminal messages!
Lei is not feeling well still. We're wondering if it is allergies that has kept her so stuffed up and headachy for the last 6 weeks. I took her to the doctor because her tummy has been hurting a lot and she developed a cough. Dr. says he wants to run some allergy tests. Ugh, this is the part about being a mommy that kills me. I've had scratch tests, the first time when I was about her age, and yes, I remember a lot of things vividly. It's not comfortable. Faron immediately said he'd come with us. YAY!
I was just tucking Lei in for a nap, yes, my nearly 6 year old still needs naps, especially when she's sick. I lay down to snuggle her and accidently yanked her hair. She yelled "OW, you yanked my head right off mom!"
I said "so why are you still talking"
She said "well duh, my mouth doesn't need my body to talk!"
teeheeeheee!
It's ant season again. I live in a basement suite, so the ants pour in every year. My landlord won't do anything about it, he says it's an issue with my housekeeping. However, my research suggests that the idea that ants don't go inside to nest, only to feed, is false. Ants in fact will burrow through wood to build their nests in foundation crevasses etc. Anyway, Faron picked up some anti-ant powder and hopefully it stems the flow this year. Last year, we'd be watching tv and have 20 ants crawling up the wall behind us! EWW!
Well, it's hump day, so go hump someone you love!
